Southern Supplies Limited assist's the 3rd Trinidad Sea Scouts in their mission to attend the 2015 World Scout Jamboree in Japan

The 3rd Trinidad Sea Scouts is the second oldest Scout Group in the San Fernando District with a very rich Scouting history and ranks in the first ten (10) of the oldest operating Groups in Trinidad and Tobago.

This year the group has embarked on an ambitious drive to raise funds to attend the 2015 World Scout Jamboree to held from the 28th of July to the 8th August, 2015 in the beautiful city of Yamaguchi in Japan. This event is the official educational event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and is specifically designed for young people, ages 14-17 from National Scout Organizations that are members of WOSM.

Their main fund raiser is a Grand Raffle, with the 1st prize being a Car. Southern Supplies Limited, has generously donated the 2nd Prize of a Samsung 40” LCD television, in support of this group’s efforts. We were honored to have a few representatives of the 3rd Trinidad Sea Scouts here to collect our contribution. They were led by Mr. Gerard Ahee, Group Scout Leader, Ms. Merle Deane, Assistant Group Scout Leader and Ms. Susan Ramsden, Chairperson of the Group Raffle Committee. The drive is still ongoing, and tickets for the Raffle can be purchased from Ms. Merle Dean at 657-8807.The funds will be used to cover travel, accommodation and other expenses.

Southern Supplies Limited has been a long time supporter of the group and we would like to wish the Group all the best on their once in a lifetime trip, as well as their future endeavors. We thank you for continuously serving the Youths of San Fernando and neighboring communities.
