Southern Supplies Limited awarded for their support at Krishna Mandir 63rd Anniversary 2015

The Knox Street Sports and Cultural foundation in conjunction with the Krishna Mandir hosts an annual Ramleela celebration at the Robin Recreational Park, formally known as Knox Street Recreational Park.

The celebrations have been a yearly event since 2001 and Southern Supplies Limited has been one of the main sponsors of the event for the last 14 years.

The event ran for three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday and patrons to the event witnessed a cultural masterpiece portrayed by the brave children of the Krishna Mandir youth group, devotees of the Mandir, Children from San Fernando and environs along with other supporters of the event. 

Various special needs homes such as the Jaya Lakhmi home from Chagunas led and managed by the Dattatreya Centre and their president Ramesh Maharaj, the Swaha home for children from penal and the Lady hochoy home for children, Harmony Hall Marabella. We would like to thank these homes for their patronage and support of the event.

Patrons to the event were also able to partake in various Indian food items and Indian sweets and delicacies. 

Southern Supplies Limited would like to extend their gratitude to the supporters, coordinators, patrons and participants of the Ramleela celebration. The event was truly a success and Southern Supplies Limited will continue to support all cultural and religious activities held in our beloved city of San Fernando. We are a strong advocate for education and participation of the younger generation in cultural events such as this for the preservation of Trinidad and Tobago’s culture.
